Throughout both terms in Fiji they taught and preached at many different churches, taught classes at the Bible school, they started a Bible Quizzing program, and helped as furlough replacement for the missionaries for 9 months. Matt completed many different maintenance projects at the Fiji UPCI Headquarters and Bible School and helped with two new church builds. Michael and Danan Benson
Missionary, Africa, Benin, Central African Republic
The Bensons received their appointment to Central African Republic in 2007, after having spent a year on the Associates In Missions program in Madagascar. Due to the civil unrest in the Central African Republic, they have not been able to move into this country. Therefore, they have spent the last two terms working in the countries of Togo and Benin, while making frequent trips into the Central African Republic as circumstances permitted. During their last four years in Benin they constructed and opened a full-time Bible school facility in the city of Ouida. They have also instituted the GATS Training Program via night classes in the city of Cotonou. Teaching and training is the passion of the Bensons. Missionary, South America, Brazil
The Coopers arrived as AIMers in Mairinque, São Paulo, Brazil in 2012. They opened a Bible school in 2013. They have trained more than ten local pastors that have been sent all over Brazil. They also built their first orphanage house and it is up and running. They help endangered women and families and the local government uses them for this purpose. The Coopers hold children’s crusades throughout Brazil and have seen more than 6,000 receive the Holy Ghost. They pastor a church in São Paulo and have built three churches and opened two daughter works. Upon returning to the field, they plan to begin new works in the twenty-six surrounding cities and build a house for training AIMers and Brazilian nationals.
