Matthew & Onnalisa Nash

Missionary to French Polynesia

Matthew and Onnalisa Nash met in 2005 and were married in 2006 and have three children.  They have been involved in many different areas of ministry over the years. Prior to missions they served on the church leadership team as the leaders of Guest services. They were over the ushers, seaters, greeters, and welcome center attendants as well as monthly guest receptions. They have also taught Sunday school in nursery, school age, youth, and Hyphen and were members of the youth staff. They both sang in the church choir and were praise team singers. They were a part of the Multicultural ministry leadership team and were young married's leaders. Onnalisa also helped with ESL classes and is a certified TEFL/TESOL teacher. In 2020 they went on their first AIM appointment to Botswana and Zimbabwe for 3 months. They taught and preached at different churches and taught classes at the Bible school in Zimbabwe. In November 2021 they went on their next AIM appointment to Fiji for 9 months. Then went for a second AIM/AMP term, January of 2023, for 15 months to Fiji. Throughout both terms in Fiji they taught and preached at many different churches, taught classes at the Bible school, they started a Bible Quizzing program, and helped as furlough replacement for the missionaries for 9 months. Matt completed many different maintenance projects at the Fiji UPCI Headquarters and Bible School and helped with two new church builds.  Onnalisa helped with administrative duties at the Bible school which included transitioning the online program to a new platform and spoke at Sunday school and women's ministry seminars.  As appointed missionaries to the unreached nation of French Polynesia they will be pioneering a new work to establish the first UPCI church there.  They are looking forward to embracing the culture and making as many connections as possible to see this new work thrive and grow.

Logan became involved with missions in 2008 and has been serving on the Associates In Missions program for the last five years. He was appointed as an Associate Missionary with the AIM program in 2014. Hannah, a missionary kid, grew up with a love for Africa and missions. She graduated from Indiana Bible College in May of 2015. Both Logan and Hannah were actively involved in missions on the AIM program when they met in 2015. After their marriage in 2017, they returned to the mission field to await their full-time appointment with Global Missions which occurred in September 2017.
While serving as an Associate Missionary on the AIM program in Togo, Logan was an instructor at the Bible school. He was also an active evangelist in the country. The Bensons received their appointment to Central African Republic in 2007, after having spent a year on the Associates In Missions program in Madagascar. Due to the civil unrest in the Central African Republic, they have not been able to move into this country. Therefore, they have spent the last two terms working in the countries of Togo and Benin, while making frequent trips into the Central African Republic as circumstances permitted. During their last four years in Benin they constructed and opened a full-time Bible school facility in the city of Ouida.
